lyrics
By the time I was hurt, I knew that pain's like a friend that you forget when far away. Ignoring the absence, filling it in mental ways, you picture fragments of the real. You pet it, you feed it, you cherish it. You seem to wash the joy of it, then you figure out it never was so far. Whenever it's on your way, don't let it hold you down. Put a distance between you and it. Like in a photograph, in a mirror, like a shell, like a dead version of you when you're finally gone for good. Like a puppeteer, like an actor in a movie, like the mask you let down when you're finally alone for good.

Quite possibly the most full-on album I've ever listened to. Intense, and then some. 'Digital Tarpit' could describe both the track and the whole album: high-pitched guitar squeals that make your fillings itch coupled with merciless, suffocating heaviness. The Avenell-esque vocals top it off perfectly.
Brilliant - punishing, but brilliant. jim_fuego
